Get to I-91. Take exit #37 (Rt. 305). Go West (towards Sunoco gas station) on Rt. 305 for about 2.2 miles. At intersection with Rt. 187 (Blue Hills Ave.) take a right. Get in left hand lane. Take left on West Dudley Town Road. FVFA is about 1/4 mile on the left.

News, Updates & Announcements: ~ IMPORTANT CLUB NEWS: Coach Mal-sun will be traveling to Asia (for the Olympics & more) and unavailable for contact between July 29 and Aug. 14th. All Monday and Wednesday classes and open fencing sessions will be held as normal as Bonnie H. will be in charge in her absence (on Wed. Aug. 11th Claire K., instead of Bonnie, will be there to open the Club at 6pm for open fencing--no intermediate class that day). All Saturday morning classes with Asst. Devin M. will be held as usual, EXCEPT for Sat. Aug. 2nd. The Club will be CLOSED Aug. 2nd due to the Nutmeg State Games. FVFA will also be closed the whole week of Aug. 24th. The Club will reopen for all classes and fencing programs on Wed. Sept. 3rd (after Labor Day). Coach Mal-sun will reply to all communications (phone, e-mail, etc.) when she returns after Aug. 14th. Maria N. took the Gold in the Women's Foil and Gail A. the Silver, and Devin M. took the Silver in the Men's Epee. Other FVFA results included Jeff M. (5th), Mark K. (6th), Ron M. (7th) and Karl R. (9th) in Men's Epee; Devin M. (5th), Travis S. (10th) and Robert R. (13th) in Men's Foil; Coach Mal-sun (6th) in Mixed Saber; and Bonnie H. (6th) and Jenny D. (9th) in Women's Foil. Great job guys! ~ The 08-09 Tournament Schedule will be posted in late August and you can download it from HERE! Things you can do to pay reduced entry fees at FVFA: (1) Pre-register via mail (non-refundable) at least ONE week in advance gives you a $5 discount and/or (2) register online at www.AskFRED.net and you get a $1 back the day of the tournament!! ~ UPDATED--ADULT EPEE FENCING LEAGUE: If you are an adult (16+) and are interested in fun social competitive fencing, then contact me right away for the Fall Adult Epee League!! Basically you sign up to take 3 months of private lessons (1 per week) with Coach Mal-sun and if your fencing does not feel like it has improved, you get ALL your money back!!
