~ Coach Mal-sun represented Team USA at the Pan American Veteran Championships in St. Thomas, USVI, on July 24th, 2017, and won GOLD in Foil (keeping the title of PanAmerican Champion from last year), SILVER in Epee, and BRONZE in Saber!

And since the article was published, FVFA Alum Cody R. (now a Senior) received a 4-year fencing scholarship to join NCAA's Division 1 Epee Fencing team at Sacred Heart U. in Fairfield, CT (http://www.sacredheartpioneers.com/sports/m-fenc/2014-15/bios/richard_cody_a72e) and FVFA Alum Hannah B. of West Hartford is fencing on NYU's NCAA Fencing Team!  Another great reason to have your child try fencing... if they end up loving it, you never know what good things might come!

~ Upcoming Beginner Session (8-week courses for children 10+ and adults with no fencing experience):  All beginner sessions currently in progress.  E-mail me at FVFA@comcast.net for details and forms and to be added to FVFA's contact list to be notified when enrollment opens for future beginner sessions for children 10+ and adults.  At FVFA we have one of the best fencing programs in the State of Connecticut, so let me assure you it's worth the wait for a new session--fencing should be fun and exciting, not boring and tedious!  Start your fencing journey TODAY at FVFA!
